  • Our Teacher of the Year

Posted by admin account on 5/6/2019 3:00:00 PM

    Introduction:

It is my pleasure to introduce an exceptional school guidance counselor, Cheryl Christopher.  During her six years at WCME, Cheryl has dedicated herself to enriching the lives of students and staff through her selfless acts of kindness, endless positivity and open door policy. She is acutely aware of the pulse of the school and the social-emotional needs of our students.  On any given day, you will see Mrs. Christopher running here and there providing guidance or lending a helping hand.

    From Fellow Teachers:

I have never witnessed Mrs. Christopher eat a lunch alone. She chooses to share this time with students providing a place where they can share their thoughts and feelings.

The students know that they have a friend in Mrs. Christopher and that she truly cares for their well-being.

    Closing:

Cheryl personifies a quote from Rita Pierson, “Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be.”

Cheryl is our champion, she is connected and empowers our students.
